About Amber
Our little orange gem Amber is an absolute darling that is astounded at her new life, throwing herself into every adventure with enthusiasm and joy. Amber is house trained, great in the car, polite on the lead and 100% recall off lead, sits for treats and her dinner, social with other dogs, LOVES humans and fine with kids. Whip smart, she has learned her new name, how to sit and come back when called all in one day and just gotten better from there. Her foster carer can't believe how quickly Amber is learning, she is a little sponge who loves the attention that comes with gentle, loving training (it also helps that she is very treat motivated). She has a bestie in foster care and the two of them spend all day playing. Amber has just discovered toys and playing chase and thinks she might be a bit of an expert. The two of them only stop for naps and being cuddled. Currently Amber is suffering some separation anxiety, but that is only to be expected with what she has been through. She is responding well to training and her foster carer is positive they will have it nailed quickly. Due to her absolute joy for life, Amber will ONLY be rehomed with another dog for company. Her new doggy brother or sister will need to be young and energetic as she just wants to play and love this new life she has been handed. Amber could easily be rehomed with a larger, gentle dog and her foster mum imagines her wrestling with a Border Collie! She would be happy with older kids, especially if they take her on bike rides, camping, swimming and everywhere they go. Amber has a low care, soft coat that will need a weekly brushing to keep her beautiful. Amber is in foster care in Canberra and, if you would like to follow her adventures and see more photos, please join the Facebook group page PAWS in Canberra, adventures with foster dogs
