About Skew-Whiff
Skew-Whiff was brought to our attention in early December, when she was hit by a car and taken to a vet clinic. X-rays showed a fracture of one of her left ribs but no other boney fractures else-where (she was lucky). She was very critical at the time but pulled through. Her right ear became floppy due to trauma causing nerve damage, so she affectionately became known as "Skew-whiff" by the vets. Amazingly, the damage was not permanent and her ear seems to have recovered.
The car accident also resulted in all her front incisors getting smashed, so these had to be removed. As a result, Skew-Whiff has no front teeth, so needs all her vegies chopped up so she can chew them with her back teeth. In the beginning she was in too much pain to eat but is now very happy and eats well. She arrived very skinny, but with her appetite, has been putting on weight steadily.
Skew-Whiff is a very extrovert bunny, she has shown herself to be very comfortable in a range of situations she's been placed in, including: dogs, cats, travelling in cars, etc. Her favourite way to sleep is with her head on your lap. She also likes to give kisses!
This girl is going to need a very special home, without the risk of getting loose and getting hit by a car again. We doubt she has learnt her lesson, she is always looking for an adventure. This girl would best suit life as an indoor bunny. WIthout her front teeth, at least she wont chew on any of your furniture!
Update: Skew-Whiff has adoption interest.
