About Puppy Koda (On hold 24/6/14pending adopt by carer
Koda is a 5 month old kelpie x staffy puppy. She has always been a stand out girl both in looks and personality. With her stunning eyes (one blue, one brown) and her extrovert personality Koda keeps everyone on their toes. She is a beautiful girl with a huge heart and supreme intelligence. She mastered 'sit' within a day and will respond amazingly to further training.
Koda loves human affection and always comes for cuddles, she sometimes jumps when excited but is learning that she gets rewarded for sitting and waiting instead. She loves her dinner and will take everyone's food if allowed, sometimes asserting herself to ensure she gets the most. She is going to be a big girl at 11.7 kilos already and very solid so will need big dog fencing as she grows.
Koda is very adventurous and will wander off on her own little adventure when off lead, yet will come running back every time when called. She loves to rough and tumble with the other dogs. She is confident, yet also kind and friendly. She is respectful when the our adult dogs tell her to back off. She will absent mindedly walk all over passive or young puppies. The other puppies follow her lead. Koda would love to have a young playful dog for company in her forever home. She would not be a good match for an elderly or sedentary dog that would be easily annoyed by her buoyant, playful personality.
Koda has spent her time with children, her puppy sisters (Maddie, Shadow and Chico, who are also available) and 6 other dogs here and is very well socialised. See videos of Koda and her sisters at https://www.youtube.com/user/weisy009
We always recommend puppy or dog training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
