About Puppy Chico (Adopted June 2014)
Chico is a 5 month old kelpie x staffy puppy. She is a beautifully natured little lady. She runs and plays with all her sisters and friends here, yet is a gentle soul and will choose to walk away if things get rough. She sticks close and likes the security of knowing her human carer is around. She also enjoys cuddling with her sisters and is happy to go to bed in her pen. She is slower to eat her meals and will give her food up to the more assertive dogs.
Chico loves relaxing in the garden and shows her supreme intelligence by hiding under bushes when she can see the 'bed' routine starting as she would prefer to remain outside watching the happenings around her. She is an independent little lady, yet gentle so would be more suited to a canine friend that has a loving, mellow nature. She loves coming for walks and will play tug of war and chase for hours. She requires some lead training and house training as most pups do, yet is not overly excitable and jumpy. She is already learning to sit for a pat as opposed to jumping. Chico also has mastered climbing small fences and is likely to be a big girl. She already weighs 10 kilos so will need good fencing. She comes back when called without a second thought. I don't think I've ever heard her bark.
Chico is a sweet, quiet little lady, just happy with life and content with a walk, a cuddle, good company and a big feed.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
