About Alfred *On Trial in His New Home*
*ALFRED IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet admirable Alfred! He’s one of a litter of healthy, happy puppies who were born in early December. His mum is a Beagle cross Pug (a Puggle???) and his dad is a Staffy.
All of the pups have friendly, affectionate natures and are used to being handled (cuddled!) by adults and teenagers. Alfred gets along well with his foster carers other dogs just wanting to play or hang out – he hasn’t met any cats. They all enjoy food, especially treats which is helping with their training and they’re learning the basics such as “sit” and “down”. The pups haven’t spent much time on a lead as they need to be fully vaccinated before getting out and about so will need some practice with this in their forever homes.
Adorable Alfred loves cuddles and adores people and thinks it’s pretty cool if he can sit beside you (or on you!) while you watch tv. He’s a cheeky puppy who enjoys playing with toys although sneaking up and attacking his sister is more fun – they love to run around with each other or wrestle on their doggie day bed. Alfred’s a bit of a “talker” which we reckon he gets from his Staffy dad and he also makes soft grunting noises which could be his Pug ancestry shining through. He’s enjoying an inside / outside life in foster care and is doing well with his toilet-training and he sleeps inside, preferably on one of the humans beds if he can get away with it!

As he’s only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up having lovely manners. Daily walks or runs around the backyard, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Alfred very happy indeed!
Alfred would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time as he’s always had company.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
