About Jama
*jama is trialling her new home* jama is a total sweetheart who has to be met for people to truly understand what a soft nice natured dog she is. Quite submissive, she needs occasional reassurance that she is loved and nothing bad will happen to her. Her slight apprehensions don't stop her getting into normal puppy things such as the bin and trying to dig her way under the dirt to see what lies at the bottom of the garden. As jama is highly intelligent she is easily corrected and she hasn't caused any damage more than a few scrapes of dirt. Jama has shown amazing trainability, on her first walk in foster care she was a typical scared puppy, totally out of control. On her second attempt she walked at heel on a loose lead after two corrections. Jama is even learning recall when getting into mischief - quite an achievement for a dog who is never certain it won't result in trouble. She would get through basic obedience as the star pupil, or maybe a new family would like to try their hand at a dog sport and really have some fun. Jama is fine with children, cats, other dogs and even pet birds. She is crate trained and loves to have her own special space, preferably with a bone hidden away in the bedding somewhere!
Jamas exercise needs aren't especially high, she is happy with a 15-20 minute trot around the block and some toys and companionship when she gets back home again. Jama is so adaptable she would suit almost any family. Jama is a medium size at an estimated weight of 16kg and knee height. She is unlikely to grow much more.
