About Twiggy
Twiggy is a lovely, sociable Kelpie - friendly with humans and dogs alike. \ She loves having a good romp with her doggy friends and she also adores having a tummy rub.
Twiggy is a gorgeous young dog who was dumped after her first litter of puppies. Although extremely thin when dumped, after only a short time in foster care, she has come along in leaps and bounds.
As you would expect from a Kelpie, she is very smart and trainable. She can sit, drop and go to her crate when directed. We are currently teaching her to shake hands and spin.
She travels very well in a car whether in a crate or harness. She sleeps quietly in a crate or dog bed at night.
She has learned to wait for her food. She is house-trained, can use a dog door and is very relaxed and calm in the house - not one of your restless wanderers. \ She loves company so would love a home with a doggy companion.
She loves to run, is a graceful jumper and loves to play ball but she is also a very calm dog so would suit either a performance home with a family who wants to do dog sports like agility or flyball with her, or a home where she gets to chill out in the house with her humans as a pet. You can decide if you want her to be high energy or low energy!
You can follow her progress in foster care at her blog: http://koalathebear.dreamwidth.org/tag/twiggy and you can still apply to adopt her, arrange to meet her or simply have a chat about her by emailing her carer.
At this stage, it would be best if Twiggy was rehomed in the ACT/NSW.
