About Zara
Like many of the fluffy dogs we rescue, Zara's coat was filthy, matted and flea ridden and so it was not surprising she was not adopted straight from the Pound looking like she did. As luck would have it, PAWS were notified about Zara's existence by a kind lady who saw her down and out in a run at the Pound and asked if we would her. Of course we would! Zara has now been cleaned up, had all of her routine vet work done and is now in foster care. What a picture she is in her pink pearls ... a far cry from the matted mess that was sitting in the run waiting for someone, anyone to come and get her out! Zara is happy these days and in foster care with a young couple who are active and can take Zara with them to work each day so that she is not alone. She goes for runs on the beach with them and has lots of human company. Zara is a house dog that is house trained and her new home should be with a family who have another little dog for company should they go out to work each day, or with a retired couple or 'stay at home' mum who has the time to spend with Zara and not leave her alone for long periods of time. Zara will be absolutely beautiful when her coat grows again. and will require regular grooming and bathing to keep her looking great,
