About Lou Lou
Lou lou is a great dane cross possibly with some pointer in her, she has never been hunted ir abused so is of a sound temperament, she oribinally came from a young couple who had spoiled her rotten but could no longer keep, so another family had adopted her but too can no londer keep her due to no fault of lou lou's. In the 4 months that she has been this second home she has come along way with regard to manners and control. She had been to school and has basic obedience. Only her recall is still developing as she is still a little impulsive when she gets excited playing and exploring. She is not a wanderer but has some tendency in her which is whyshe needs a new home as this one is on acreage and has typical farm fencing which is close to town and they fear that she may stray into traffic and be hurt nor be scorned by teh general publics perceived image of the type of dog she is. Lou lou is quite loyal and enjoys human company and attention. Does not - bark, unless a reason
- dig
-take wahing off line
-chew a lot, will do sometimes if it takes a liking to something (pays to be a bit careful but it is not a major problem)
\ -attack or chase horses etc (just gets around taking no real notice) unless provocked one goes off for a run she may like to join in but will not dream of hurting one
-attack other dogs unless triggered (see below) she has had one incident over food and antoehr over a really loudly yapping dog which has set off others at obedience school. She has never shown any aggression to humans at all. She is very friendly, lays where u are, follows you, hangs around for a pet, generally stays in your area unless distracted by something more interesting like the kids going for a ride on their bikes. This she loves to join in with and the kids love it as well. She is fine with children even younger ones. Lou lou will still jump on you at times or visitors but has improved greatly and will continue to improve with age and continues training. She is a very smart dog with the ability to learn and i really think she would go well in the right home. She came into her second home at the same time as a 3mnth old pup which she plays with, shares food, tolerates a hell of a lot of nipping from it. They also have a little dog who thinks he is king pin and shows aggression/assertiveness to lou lou and she accepts it. She gets on ok with the red heeler bitch only agruement was over food and the red heeler would not back down which led to a fight. I think the wandering and interest in the outside world will diminish with age also, maybe even as earlier as 6mnths time so it is imperative that she goes to a home that will be able to provide secure fencind in a large yard. She will love the company of active children and a resident dog. She will need further ongoing obedience and shelter from hte elements. Lou lou must be allowed to be a member of her family
