About Lachie (On Trial 15/3/14)
Lachie is a 6 month old, male, Corgi cross, who is small without being delicate. He is an adorable bundle of energy that loves cuddles, kids, other dogs and bringing a smile to your face. Lachie loves to play with toys; it doesn't matter if they are hard, soft or squeaky.
Lachie has learnt to sit, stay, and wait for his dinner. He is toilet trained, although he could have accidents in a new home while settling in. He learns quickly, especially with one-on-one attention.
Lachie is good with children, and has spent time with kids aged from 18 months (with supervision) to 11 years. In a permanent home, he would need to be with children over 5 as sometimes he nips when excited.
Lachie would suit a home where the family is home most of the time, or there is another dog to play with. He would need to be inside with his family when they are home, and sleep inside.
For more information or to meet Lachie please phone Donna on 02-4942-2517 or email trudgetty@hotmail.com. Lachie is in foster care in Gateshead, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Lachie's $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
