About Miley (On Trial 4/7/14)
Meet Miley - "Smiley Miley", a 3 year old female, large mixed breed. Our best guess is that Miley is part greyhound, dalmation and mastiff - whatever breed she is, she is a sweet, loveable, relaxed and gorgeous girl.
She is big, calm and goofy and just loves to take over the lounge for a snooze. If you join her she will rest her head on your lap and doze there happily. When it's time for action she loves to race around the yard and play tug-o-war and wrestling with her foster brother. She loves her daily
walks, walks well on a lead and is well behaved when she meets other dogs. She has never shown any aggression to us, our children or other dogs.
Miley has the basic commands of sit, stay and wait for food but needs reminding sometimes. She loves to be part of the family and so she will need to spend time inside whenever you are home.
She is quite happy to lie on her mat but will migrate to the lounge or your bed when you are not watching.
With a regular routine and training she will be an easy dog for a family or couple as she is not overly active and will be satisfied with a daily walk, bit of a play and lots of family time.
Miley has always been around other dogs when in foster care both larger and smaller than her. She would love to have another dog for company to have a romp with when you are not around.
For more information or to meet Miley please phone foster carer Kathryn on 0414 449 740 or email kathryn.david.15@gmail.com. Miley is in foster care in Kotara, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Miley's $300 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
