About Zuppy *On Trial in His New Home*
*ZUPPY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet loveable Zuppy! He’s a delightful, relaxed young dog, well pup really, who seems wise beyond his years. He’s looking for a loving forever home where he can enjoy an indoor / outdoor lifestyle– will it be with you???
Zuppy was surrendered to us as he was the last one in a litter, so his owners decided to keep him but had a change of heart when they realised two dogs were enough, so now he’s enjoying life in care where he’s being spoilt by his foster family. This calm, cool, confident little fella is friendly and affectionate and adores human companionship – his carers’ 10 year old daughter can do most things with him; he’s kind of like a ragdoll cat! Though he’s not a lapdog as such, he’s more a ‘next to you’ kind of dog who likes to follow you around while you go about your chores. If he was to go to a home with kids we’d prefer to see him with school aged children as he does tend to attach himself to one person and can be a little protective. He gets along well with his carers’ own little dogs as he’s not at all yappy or “in your face” although he will join in for playtime chaseys and they’re helping him discover the joy of toys – his fave is his squeaky reindeer! Clever Zuppy is picking up “sit” and learning to walk on a lead. Even his toilet training has been going well!

Zuppy is happy to be picked up and cuddled or he’ll sit quietly beside you while you watch tv. He’s a good eater and not at all fussy and will take treats gently. He travels well in a car (he’s a terrific ‘take-anywhere’ size!) and is good around cats, tending to leave them alone. Adorable Zuppy’s a real water baby who enjoys splashing around in his doggie pool during these hot Mildura days we’ve been having. Being a Maltese cross he doesn’t lose any hair though he’ll require a good brush once a week and a professional clip a few times a year to keep his coat in tip-top condition.
As Zuppy sleeps inside at night he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a friendly doggie companion or on his own, but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time as he is used to having company and has always had another dog around, so 5 plus hours on week days by himself in a backyard would not suit him at all. Secure fencing, daily walks or runs around the backyard and loads of love will make Zuppy very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
