Muffin (On Trial 1/4/14)

Muffin is a sweet, 2 year old, Shih Tzu mix with a winning personality and a contagious smile, even if it isn't quite straight. Within minutes of meeting her, you will become instant best friends. She is kind, happy and social and gets along with children, cats and small dogs alike.

Muffin settled quickly and is a very quiet dog and rarely barks, even at loud noises. She is very polite with her meals and while being groomed. She had to have her coat cut short as it was overgrown when she came to rescue. But it will grow back soon and she will be very pretty. Muffin has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.

As a mode of transportation, Muffin prefers to use her own four paws as she is still adjusting to car rides and is only able to tolerate short trips.

She will benefit greatly from continued basic training but is food focused and very eager to please so she will learn quickly. She enjoys being outside but must sleep inside so continued patience with her toilet training will be of benefit.

Muffin's perfect home will be one where she can be in the house and part of the family and be allowed to sleep inside. She would love to have the company of another friendly little dog.
