About Hendrix *On Trial in His New Home*
*HENDRIX IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* If you're looking for an adorable little playmate for your dog, cat or pet sheep, then you can’t go past playful Hendrix. He's a real Rock'n'Roller!
Recently rescued from our local pound, Hendrix is what we like to refer to as a 2 Pounder...He has found himself in there more than once in his short life through no fault of his own. His most recent stint behind bars was sadly due to a change in his owners circumstances.
Hendrix has made himself at home with his foster family on a large farm. He enjoys the company of his foster siblings - 3 small Dachshunds - but over Christmas spent time with another foster family and had no trouble fitting in with their family of Greyhounds, Whippets and a Kelpie - he really is a terrific all rounder when it comes to acceptance, and even enjoys a play with his foster Sheep!!!
We don’t think Hendrix has had much training, though he’s quickly picking up “sit” and he walks quite well on a lead, though could do with some more practice at this.
He can be quite boisterous at times, and will need a playmate to keep him company, but also for someone to nap with, when he's tuckered out from all the playing! He’s a friendly little fella who likes cuddles on the couch while you watch tv at night.
Hendrix will sleep all night, and has not had an accident since he has been in foster care. His carer uses puppy pads for him to train on, but Hendrix can 'hold on' throughout the night and just needs to be let out when he wakes up. As he is housetrained he would be best suited to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle with the companionship of another playful cat or dog or on his own but only if he won’t be left for long periods of time while you’re at work as he’s used to having company.
Feisty Hendrix is quite low-maintenance only needing a short walk or a run around the backyard to use up his energy and he’ll only need the occasional bath to keep him smelling fresh. He enjoys food and treats which he takes very gently. Secure fencing, chicken necks to chew, toys to play with and lots of love in his forever home will make Hendrix very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
