About Brooklyn
"Hi, I'm Brooklyn.
I thought I should get a word in before the noisy human starts ranting about me and probably getting sidetracked on the state of the world. I just want a home where I can have some people to love, some space to play and comfy spots to nap. Like your lap? I have learned all about laptops and how I'm not supposed to walk on them, but since you're not really doing anything but watching illegally downloaded movies anyway, how about I squeeze in there and watch it with you?
Some of those photos make me look really young. I'm 18 months now and I'm a little bigger, a little prettier. \ Still as playful as a kitten if I can have a cat or human to play with. It's tough to get the love if you're with too many other cats but I'd love a cat friend as well as a human friend.
Human children are awesome! Once I'm used to them, that is. Very happy with them so bring on the family or the single folk, I can work with any of you.
Ok, now the human can speak."
Brooklyn begins purring at first touch. He is affectionate and sweet tempered. Having just turned one he is still a small and slim looking cat
He was dumped by a family who didn't want to deal with the kittens their cat had, and were moving house so they kept the mum with them and left the babies to fend for themselves. Fortunately good neighbours swooped in to the rescue of little Brook. Despite this start in life Brooklyn loves people and warms to them quickly. But he is a curious cat and wants to know what is behind everything, like furniture. He has unfortunately taken to hunting pigeons and is rather good at it, despite our best efforts to prevent him.
He will need the company of another cat. We are looking for a home that will commit to keeping Brooklyn indoors at night time and he must always have a collar with a bell on to give as much safety to birds as possible. He deserves a home where he is allowed on couches and beds (a fundamental right, if you ask me) and one where people will interact affectionately with him on a daily basis. He started a life in neglect and I will not have him returned to that.
Medical notes
Brooklyn is microchipped and has been desexed. He has had his first round of injections and immunisations, including the FIV inoculation.
