Lizzie (On Trial 8/3/14)

My name is Lizzie, and I'm a 7 month old Kelpie x Australian Cattle Dog. My foster mum says that I just melt everyone's heart as soon as they meet me! I'm such a beautiful looking dog with an amazingly sweet nature to match.

When I came to my foster mum's house just before Christmas as a very timid and nervous puppy, but I have come a long way since then. With the love, support and patience of my foster mum I'm feeling more comfortable and I'm coming out of my shell. I love to play and spend time with people or other dogs. I even go over to my foster grandma's house for a play date with my 4 furry friends and have a wonderful time playing and socialising with them, including two very small dogs and two larger dogs.

My foster mum took me to the dog beach and I had a fantastic time! I was very well behaved as I do not have a nasty bone in my body. We also went to Glenrock Lagoon and I shared my stick with some new dog friends that I met there and then slept the whole way home. I loved jumping through the water and rescuing my foster mum by dragging her out of the water by my lead:) It was a big day!

I'd love a furever home that includes someone (person or dog) to keep me company during the day as I get a bit bored when I'm left all alone. I love people and dogs, basically everyone!!! I'm really good with kids but as I'm still learning not to jump up and lick. I would need some more training and reminding if I'm going to live with a family with very young children. I'm very attentive and to eager to learn. I love my food and treats so it's a great way to enforce my positive behaviour.

I'd also love to live in a home that has a big back yard as I love to run and play fetch. At night I'd love nothing more than to come inside and be part of the family and cuddle or sleep on my comfy bed. I never bark for no reason and usually sleep through the night.

I can't wait for my new home where I can love unconditionally and spend my life with a family who can give me the time and an active lifestyle that I am dreaming about.
