About Brenda Bean (On Trial 9/3/14)
Meet the beautiful Brenda (Bean for short). Brenda is a gorgeous, female, Kelpie cross, only 8 months old. This little girl is a bundle of fun! She loves to play ball games. She is always up for a walk or a run. Loves water activities, either at the beach or catching balls in the lake.
Everyone who meets Bean falls in love with her bubbly personality. She gets on great with other dogs, small or big. I have 3 cats in my home, she has no interest in them but is very happy to give the youngest cat a tongue bath.
She is happy to spend time outside but likes some time inside dog as well. She loves to come inside in the afternoon for a snuggle and kiss. I have had no issues with feeding Brenda with other dogs but she can be protective over her own bowl. This can be easily addressed with training.
Brenda Bean is doing wonders with food reward training. So far she has learnt to sit, lay down and roll over. I'm in the process of teaching her to not jump up and to walk along side of me instead of pulling on the lead. She is so young and happy to please I don't think this will take long at all for her to learn. She will be attending an obedience course in February.
Brenda does get a bit anxious around young children that she doesn't know. My two children are aged 5 and 9. She feels very comfortable around my two and loves to give them cuddles and kisses. I wouldn't recommend any children under 5 for Brenda.
Brenda would be suited to an active family with a yard to play in or a nearby park for daily exercise and play time; someone who can give her lots of stimulation and continue with some basic training.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
