Jhett (On Trial 2/3/14)

Jhett (Full Name: Jetson) this beautiful boy is an approx. 2yr old Kelpie X Rotti who can only be described at the biggest smooch you will ever meet. Jhett's is a delightful boy to have in our home.

He is happy to either sleep curled up on the floor beside me at night or in his crate. He is house trained to use a doggy door, does not chew, dig, jump fences or nuisance bark.

He is an active boy who has made an excellent running buddy to his foster family; he will need ongoing daily walks or runs & ongoing training.

Jhett is excellent with other dogs, showing no aggression whatsoever to any dog or puppy who has crossed his path, no matter how rough or grumbly they have been with him. He is a good sharer with his toys & food, even allowing his foster families children, 3 & 7 to take them from him. Although not essential Jhett would love a home with another doggie playmate, but has shown that his social needs are met with human contact.

Jhett likes to think of himself as a 'lap dog' even though he quite clearly isn't. He also offers up large, open pawed 'cuddles' to anyone who will take them, where he will stand up and try to cuddle, this is something that his foster family are training out of him but as yet he has not fully comprehended polite cuddles. This may be an issue if you have younger children who are not confident with large dogs, making Jhett more suitable to a family with older children.

Jhett is looking for a family who will welcome an affectionate, loving and loyal dog into the home and include him as a part of their family. His ideal family will allow him inside at night, be home part or full time, live on enough land for him to run around and stretch his legs and be active.
