Hoffman is the sweetest, most affectionate dog you could ever meet. He loves to jump up and sit on your lap, returning any show of affection or attention with a kiss and a wag of his tail. However, possibly due to mistreatment in a previous home, he does not like to be handled or spoken to roughly, although he does respond well to calm, spoken commands. He is extremely intelligent and easy to train. Hoffman isn't suited to a home with children as they would not understand how he must be handled.
