About Phoenix
Hi, my name is Phoenix and I am a beautiful looking friendly girl as you can see by my photo.
Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances my dad had to move back home and I have issues with his mum's little fluffy dogs so he has to reluctantly surrender me. He says I am an awesome dog and he is really sad to have to give me up. I have also got very attached to his mum so will need lots of attention in my new home.
I have lived with a 9 year old in the past and get on with other dogs depending on how they react to me except for little dogs, which I don't like at all. I am house trained and sleep inside in my basket or in the bed with you if I can get away with it !
I am a little nervous in the car but am well behaved and have lots of energy and want to play as much as possible. I especially love squeaky toys and cuddles with my humans. I am a smart dog and will sit, lie down and also respond to "both paws". As I am young I would benefit with more obedience training which will also help me in my socialisation skills.
I occasionally get a rash on my tummy which is treated with antibiotics and I am missing a toe on my front paw which we think was caused by my mum grooming me too much and a little too energetically. However it has never affected me at all.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/Stafford%20Rescue%20Adoption%20Request%20Form.doc and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
