Trixie the Maltese (On Trial 1/2/14)

Trixie is a lovely, friendly Maltese dog, 9 years old. If you are looking for a happy, cuddly and easy going dog that only requires a short walk every day, Trixie is your girl. She is older but will make a great companion. She sleeps inside and spends most of her day inside with her foster family. She gets along with everyone, including her two foster siblings. She greets dogs and people with a happy smile and a kiss.

When she first came to her foster home she was so weak from malnutrition that her foster mum had to carry her from her bed to outside to toilet. She was very cautious of people, and other dogs. How she has changed! She is just so happy now. She follows her foster mum around and just wants to be with her family.

She walks very well on her lead, no pulling and when she sees her lead she sits to allow you place the lead. Trixie is house trained and can use a doggy door. She has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.

She will be a very affectionate companion and bring lots of love and smiles to your home.
