About Brax (On Trial 18/3/14)
Hi! My name is Brax, and I am a gorgeous, happy male staffy x cattle dog. I am just over 1 year old. I was rescued from the pound by DRN with only seconds to spare and I have spent my time since then showing just how grateful I am! I am a very friendly boy, towards both people and other dogs, and I get very excited about making new friends. I approach everything in life with enthusiasm and love to show affection through cuddles.
I love to be wherever you are and would love being able to spend time with you inside, but I am still happy to hang around out in the yard and do my own thing. I like to think of myself as an explorer and will warn you if I hear a strange noise or see something suspicious. I am a very strong, lean boy which means that I need good, high fences to make sure that my exploring is kept within the yard.
When I first met my Foster Mummy, I didn’t know how to play and I was very unsure about what my toys were all about. Since then, she has taught me so much about having fun and now I love my toys and balls and have even learnt how to play fetch! I am a very quick learner. I have learnt how to sit, stay, lie down, come, shake and even to wait for my food before scoffing it down!
When I first left the pound, I would jump up on everything and everyone, but I have since learnt that this isn’t very polite, so I am learning very quickly to be a proper gentleman and wait for attention rather than demanding it. I am getting really good at this and instead I sit down and wait patiently for a pat. I have so much love to give and I am so excited to be able to give it all to that one special family!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
