About Asher
Asher is a happy little boy whose name means 'happy' in Hebrew. Asher came into foster care matted and dirty but under that mess was a dear little dog struggling to get out. Asher is quite small (about 3.5kg) and was rather timid and quiet initially but he is growing in size and confidence as each day passes. Asher loves his food and eats it up in 30 seconds, but that will change as he realises there is a meal or two each and every day. Asher enjoys going for walks, preferring the foot path to the large park near his foster carer's home, but with time he will get used to the park. Asher likes the other dogs he is in foster care with and does play with them but seems to prefer to keep his foster carer company nearby or in a spot under her chair. He would probably be happy in a home with no other dog although another nice dog for company would be fine also. Asher sleeps quietly on a rug or doggy bed near you and follows you round the house. He has had some training and will come when called and sit for treats. Asher is hoping to join a home where he will have some peace and space to develop into a wonderful companion. He is still a little timid and shy so a quieter home will suit him best. Asher is a house dog with a coat that will grow and require ongoing grooming.
