About Sonny (On Trial 30/1/14)
Sonny is a lovely 5 year old, male, Poodle cross Cocker Spaniel, a "spoodle". He loves people and other dogs, loves the water so much getting the hose out is he’s favourite activity. He loves to play fetch and will find his rope bone when asked or he will come and ask you to play. If you’re looking for the perfect family man then stop looking because you’ve found him!
He is an inside dog. He will not whinge if he is outside but he must be welcome to come inside time when people are home. He knows how to use a dog door and will go out when asked. He hasn’t been around kid’s fulltime but loves when they come over as they are just as playful and exciting as he is. He is friendly with cats, too friendly actually because he can annoy them trying to play.
Sonny has a lovely soft cream coloured coat that doesn’t shed, however it does need maintenance. He needs to be clipped about every 4-6 weeks in summer so he doesn’t get to hot and in winter about every 8 weeks. He needs to be brushed every second day so he doesn’t get knots. If you wanted to keep his coat short all year round that wouldn’t be a problem as long as he had jumpers to stay warm. He needs a bath every couple of weeks. He is approximately Cocker Spaniel size.
Sonny's ideal family would be one with a lot of love to give and which would include him in activities just like he was another person. He would love to watch TV with you and go for walks and adventures in the car.
Sonny currently sleeps outside in a kennel and does not mind, though in the winter he should be inside the house. He currently lives with other dogs of all ages and sizes and gets along with them all. He loves his playmates.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
