Swag (On Trial 5/4/14)

Are you looking for a dog with swagger? Or a dog to share your swag? How about a dog NAMED Swag? She is a young and beautiful, large mixed breed 11 months old. She has a shiny brindle coat and pretty brown eyes. She currently stands about 60cm (her shoulder height) and weighs about 40kgs.

Swag will take pats and belly rubs all day. She is a gentle giant but only suitable to children over 11 years old. Swag has been well socialised with other dogs and gets along well with her similar sized foster doggy brother and sister. She just generally likes to go with the flow. Despite her size, she is quite timid and can be frightened by loud noises and sudden movements. She would suit a more quiet home without loud music or a lot strangers (especially men) coming and going as these would scare her.

We let her inside with us when we are home and she is outside during the day when at work. She quietly watches TV on her bed – her favourite shows are whatever yours are! She currently sleeps with her blankie on a trampoline bed with her doggy friends in an indoor/outdoor room with access to the backyard.

Like all dogs Swag requires ongoing training and socialisation. She can sit for treats but needs practice at all other commands and walking on the lead. She hasn’t had an accident inside yet – this might be luck or she might be housetrained. Swag has not been tested with cats. She will need ongoing further training but is very food motivated and learns quickly. She travels quietly in the car. Her birthday is 13/3/13.

Swaggy’s forever home will require a nice yard, secure fencing and adequate shelter. She would love some doggy company or she could be an only dog providing she gets plenty of people time inside, chew toys and daily walks to burn some energy and stretch those long legs. All in all she will give back a hundred times any love she is given.
