About Ellie, 1yo kelpie (to be adopted by foster carers)
Hi I'm Ellie, a happy, healthy and very loyal 1 year old kelpie cross. I am super sweet, ultra affectionate and have just a dash of cheeky in me. Overall I am the complete package. Right now I am on an epic quest to find my new best friend. I really, really hope that's you!
I am eager to learn and desperate to please. I'm quickly picking up on basic commands and with practice and some yummy treats, I could learn to do absolutely anything. Perhaps we could bond over some training classes?
I am toilet trained and will ask to go out. I'm also PERFECT on leash and my foster mum thinks I'll be just as good off leash, though this hasn't been fully tested. I am happy to walk or run with you all day if you want. I just want to be with you and will follow you wherever you go.
Even though I am an active girl I realise life is about balance, for you and for me. I know when it's time to settle down and will watch tv curled up by your side, at your feet or settled on my bed, it's your choice. I sleep through the night and greet you calmly and lovingly in the morning.
I am looking for the simple things in life, like love and companionship. Oh... and LOVE...did I mention love? I would be a great addition to any family, big or small, skin or fur.....I have a lot of love to give.
I'm patiently waiting for my fur-ever home, but the sooner we meet the sooner I can love you. So what are you waiting for? Come and meet me. I know we will be best friends.
For more information about me please call my foster mum Renee on 0400818837 or email renee_s@hotmail.com. I am currently in Lochinvar NSW (west of Newcastle) and am available for adoption interstate.
Ellie’s adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
