Stella (On Trial 22/2/14)

Meet Stella, a 4 month old kelpie who is a very happy go lucky puppy who loves to play with all of her foster brothers and sisters both big and small.

Being a kelpie, means she will be an active and intelligent dog who have a life span of between 12-15 years. When used as a working dog their maintenance is low, and if kept as a pet they do become high maintenance, needing time invested in them with obedience training.

Kelpies are a loyal breed and are regarded as a “one man dog”. Stella came into care with no name so she is quickly learning her name, she is a typical puppy that is learning to sit, stay and come back when called. We are practicing with walking on a lead and she is learning fast. We always recommend puppy training classes for your new family member

Stella would be best suited to a home with another doggy pal that can keep up with her energy levels, or a family that is very active and able to keep her stimulated both mentally and physically.
