About Henry
Henry is probably the most relaxed blue heeler you will ever meet – and the most handsome! Everyone who meets him in the park thinks he’s an older dog because he’s so calm and relaxed and are surprised to hear he is only 2 years old. Except if there is a whippet to chase, then the switch is flipped and it is work mode – he only has 2 gears! Henry is certainly your typical wonderful heeler in that he only has eyes for his master. You are his whole world and this is especially the case with Henry. He is not ball obsessed like many of this breed - in fact if you throw the ball he will look at the ball, then back to you with a look on his face that seems to ask “why did you throw that away?”. He likes the water but isn’t that interested in swimming, he gets along well with other dogs he meets but he isn’t that interested in playing. For Henry, you are his world and he sticks close to you. Henry needs someone who will be around more often than not – ideally someone who works from home or can take him with them to work. He would be ok to be rehomed with another dog, but would equally be fine on his own. Henry would benefit from some further training to keep his active working dog mind challenged and regular exercise/activity typical for this breed. He really needs the country life where he can have space to roam and a master to be his constant companion. He is house trained, sits on command and has flawless recall on the rare occasion he is more than 10 feet from your left leg where he likes to stay when off for walks. Henry is really a beautiful boy, with a lovely nature who is very smart, very loyal and very affectionate. He’ll make a great companion for someone looking for a best mate.
