Chiko (On Trial 12/4/14)

Chiko is a 2 year old male Chihuahua x Foxy. He's an excellent family dog. He is a very gentle little boy and simply LOVES playing fetch with our children and he will always return the ball so they can throw it again. He knows the basic commands sit and come. He has nearly got the toilet training down pat, this won't take very long because he is such a clever boy.

Chiko walks well on the lead but does get excited and pull when we first leave the house but soon settles down. He is great travelling in the car. He is happy to spend the day outside but would like a female dog to keep him company if he needs to spend much time without human company. He can get jealous around other male dogs so I recommend that he only goes to a home with a female dog.

Chiko gets along fine with our cat. He currently sleeps in the laundry at night with no fuss.

Chiko got his funny name because one of our friends thought he looked like a Chiko Roll! The idea made us laugh so the name stuck.
