Abbey

Beautiful ABBEY is looking for her forever home, could she be the one for you? She's an approx. 7 month old kelpie cross. Here's what her lovely foster carer says about her...

Nature:
Abbey has a beautiful nature, she is a little shy to begin with, but once you gain her love and trust she will follow you like a shadow! She wags her tail the minute she hears you and sees your face.
She is a very smart and intelligent dog, who will make an awesome companion,
She's a bit of a digger and door scratcher but we are working on that issue together.

Behaviour with other animals:
Gets on exceptionally well with our other dog, they often play chase around the back yard, and love sharing a tennis ball or the other numerous fun dog toys we have to keep them occupied.
Her nature is just amazing with our dog, no aggression or growling.
No cats at the foster home, so untested with them.

Behaviour with children:
She is beautifully behaved, my kids can grab her, pick her up, play with her and she never nips or makes a noise. Even with friends children she is gentle and kind. Definitely great with children!

Activity level:
Abbey is a very excitable dog, she is constantly spied running around the backyard with our dog doing laps!
She is however very shy when out on a lead and will tend to cower between my legs, so there may be some history there with her being chained up. Hence at this stage she's not too good on a lead, but we are working on that.

Like and dislikes:
Took a while to warm to my husband and still sometimes has a little hesitation, but the transformation is amazing.

Ideal permanent home:
Abbey will do well in any type of home with or without children and pets, big or small family. She just love a good scratch and treats. She is extremely gentle and placid and loves being cared for.
