About Duke *On Trial in His New Home*
*DUKE IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Looking for a laidback, loving mate who’s terrific with other dogs? \ Then you can’t go past Duke the handsome big Boxer boy!!
Due to a change in circumstances Duke’s owners no longer had the time for a young Boxer so he’s looking for a new forever home with another friendly dog for company so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. Duke loves giving kisses and he’s quite the sloppy chops but hey what’s a bit of drool between friends?? Probably not so good to rehouse with toddlers unless they want their face constantly washed as they’d be at the right height for a good licking plus he may accidentally bowl them over when he gets excited so older school aged children with experience around biggish dogs would be better.
Duke’s manners are very good for his age; he’s a fairly relaxed, chilled out kinda fella though he will jump up on you when he’s feeling playful but a firm “down” does the trick. He knows “sit” and his foster carer says he’s terrific on a lead especially for such a strong boy. Duke’s fantastic with other dogs and is enjoying being in foster care with a male and female Boxer who are also fairly young – Duke cops the occasional growl from the male though he never growls back; we don’t reckon he’s got a mean bone in his body! In his previous life he did a bit of travelling around with a truck driver so he’s excellent in a vehicle. He’s not such a fan of the kiddie pool (except for drinking from it!) though he loves a swim in the river or a dam.

Handsome Duke is a friendly, affectionate dog who enjoys attention and cuddles and loves to chill with his humans, lying on the ground by their feet. He’s not a yapper though will give a warning bark when he deems it necessary. As he appears to be already housetrained and is well behaved inside Duke would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle so he can be part of the household goings on with a friendly doggie companion to hang out with. A secure yard, daily walks, bones to chew on, toys to play with and lots of love would make Duke very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
