About Lexi
Hi my name is Lexi and I'm approximately 12 years of age. I was found wandering the streets and ended up in a concrete hot prison called a pound. My owners never came to claim me but maybe that's a good thing as they used me as a breeding machine.
I like it at Stafford Rescue so when new people roll up with dogs for me to meet I tell them to go away again which has really puzzled the humans as I get on well with the dogs here and run them with them happily. \ I am a clever girl. You see this way I get to run and have fun with all the dogs and then they eventually get new homes and I can enjoy myself again with the new intake..... I can even boss them around if I feel like it. But when I get introduced to just one dog I figure they are trying to take over my turf and I don't want that so I tell them to get lost.... good plan huh ?
So I heard them muttering that they are are going to get around Miss Clever Britches another way (Is that me ???) by running any meet and greet dog with me and all the other dogs at the same time and then when we get back I will have accepted the new dog as one of the pack and forget my conniving ways. They say I can't stay here as Linda has too many dogs now.
Stafford Rescue took me to the vet who gave me a tune up! I had 5 teeth and 5 little lumps removed and am running around like a puppy again. I am a little girl, I don't jump up, am dog friendly but choosy and am quiet and very gentle. Just because I am a senior don't be fooled as I am certainly not slow on my feet and am a very happy little lady.
Isn't there a nice family out there who would like a good friend to listen to all their troubles ? I would like a home where I will be treated as one of the family and will be perfectly happy wandering around after you like I do here. I need to sleep inside and be treated like the queen I am. It's autumn now and SRV are pleading with someone to come and adopt me before it gets cold.

and fill out an Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
