Gemma (On Trial 18/2/14)

Gemma is approx. a 12 months old Dacshund x Staffy, affectionately called Gem Dog because she really is a gem. She has had a rough start to life but has recovered and turned into a little pocket rocket of joy.

Gemma loves to go to the park or beach to run and swim other dogs; she is very friendly with dogs and humans but doesn’t like cats.

Training classes would be great for Gem to build her confidence and bond with her new owner. She is best suited to a home where she can sleep inside and be inside whenever her humans are home as she just loves to be around you. Gemma knows how to use a dog door and is toilet trained.

Gemma is very tiny but can sometimes think she is bigger because of the staffy in her and likes to play rough with big dogs; she is sturdy. Currently she lives with dogs of all ages and size and she is fine with them all.

Her new home would need another dog if you were not home all the time as she isn’t use to being totally alone. A harsh tone must never be used with Gem as she will become nervous a happy voice always works with her. She loves belly rubs and cuddles on the lounge at night while you watch tv. Gemma is a fantastic little girl that would love someone to take her into their heart and home and make her a part of their life.
