About Chester (On Trial 25/1/14)
Chester is a 6 year old Shih Tzu who is always ready with a friendly smile and an adorable way to get your attention. He has big round eyes and long lashes and soft, non-shedding coat. Children love to give him a cuddle and take him for a walk, which he always enjoys.
Chester is an easy dog to look after; he isn’t overly active; a nice walk and a throw of a toy for the day can keep him a happy puppy. He can be a bit jealous of other dogs as he much prefers the attention to be on himself, however, he is used to living with other small dogs. Chester is living with 7 cats so we know he are fine with felines.
Chester is an inside dog, sleeping inside with no problems at all. He would suit a family looking for a cuddly little boy or an elderly person looking for a wonderful companion.

Chester's adoption fee is $400 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
