About Lucy
Lucy is so affectionate and sweet (her foster mum says she gives the BEST cuddles!). She has settled very quickly into foster care with her two foster brothers and its easy to see just how happy she is to be part of a family. Lucy would also make a great sibling for another dog as she loves the company and loves to play!
She would benefit greatly from the learning and socialization at puppy school, as this little one is so smart and learns so quickly! In her first week in foster care she learned to sit, learned her new name and to come when called. She absolutely thrives on praise, making her super easy to train.
Lucy sits quietly for rides in the car and has discovered the joy of fetching balls and swimming though she’s still getting her confidence. She was a little jumpy when she first came into care, as everything is new to her and she would get scared of any loud noises. But once she realized she was in a safe environment, she relaxed and is letting her personality shine – she’s a funny girl that makes her foster mum laugh daily! She is so eager to please and have a human or humans to love. Being a typical heeler, she bonds very quickly with her master. She really needs someone who will be around more often than not, who works from home or can take her to work with them. She has so much potential, she just needs someone to love her, guide her, provide the physical exercise and mental stimulation needed with this breed and of course, be her best friend! She is such a lovely girl, with support she’ll be the perfect best mate.
