Zoey (adopted by carer 23/1/14)

Zoey is a sweet 4 month old female Kelpie X pup looking for a new home. She is very affectionate and loves attention. Zoey will happily cuddle up with her owners for a quiet pat, but also loves to play and has a lot of puppy energy!

Zoey is great with children of all ages, but she does get very excited at times and might knock a small child over, so may be suited to a home children over 5 years old.

She has gotten along well with all other dogs she has met, and loves to play with our female Labrador. Zoey would probably enjoy having a doggy companion she can play with in her new home. Zoey loves to play with our cat too, but if the cat isn’t interested she usually calms down and leaves him alone, so a home with cats would be fine.

Zoey has learnt very quickly how to sit for treats, and usually comes when called. Like all puppies, she will need some ongoing obedience training. She loves walks, but does get very excited so will need more training to learn how to walk without pulling on her lead.

Zoey is housetrained, but has had a couple of accidents indoors on occasions when she has been very excited. She happily spends most of the day outdoors, but likes to be inside with the family when we are home. Indoor time will need to be continued in her permanent home.
