Taddy (On Trial 22/1/14)

Taddy is a 5 year old, purebred Shih Tzu. She is easy going and good natured. She loves walking on the beach and meeting other dogs, but can’t walk too long as she gets tired and lies down for a rest from time to time. She doesn’t like being carried. She walks well on leash, and even likes to go into the lake on a hot day, but she doesn’t go into the ocean. She always stays with you and doesn’t run away. She will sit and come when called.

She only barks then she is really excited and this is not often. She can be a bit shy and it takes her a little time to get to know you, but once she accepts you she loves cuddles and is very sweet.

Taddy is housetrained and is definitely and inside dog. She needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. She plays with our small dog but not often. She can't play catch but still gets excited to see a ball or soft toy thrown. She likes any food you give her and will overeat if you let her.

You need to comb her beautiful fur every couple of days as she doesn't shed. She enjoys being brushed and combed and also is no trouble to bathe. She needs clipping about every 6 weeks.

Taddy is a very sweet girl and would be excellent with older people. She doesn’t play with kids and is rather slow when you walk her, so maybe not so exciting for children but wonderful for everyone else.
