Scotty (On Trial 26/1/14)

Scotty is a 4 year old, purebred, Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog. He is very beautiful and a fine example of this uncommon breed. He loves his walks and he walks very, very well - he ignores other dogs and stops when asked. He is not a barker - if he barks it is usually at a cat. He is responding very well to training and is getting more obedient every day. He does not try to jump the fences (only when the neighbor's cat was watching him out of the window - but he failed). He is quite content being an outside dog provided he has a nice kennel under cover and a bed (currently he has my old coaster bus for his house!). He waits until told to eat his dinner. He responds to "sit", "stop", "stay", "no", "fetch". He knows his name and responds to it well.

Scotty loves to play with toys including ropes, balls, and squeaky ones. He loves to play fetch and brings whatever you throw back to you. He is also very affectionate and loves to be with you and show you his love and devotion.

Scotty gets on well with my 3 small dogs. But he hates cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. He is very playful but can be a bit rough so he would easily knock over a small child.

Overall Scotty is a beautiful dog with a fantastic temperament. With plenty of cuddles and affection and training he will turn out a brilliant boy. I recommend a home with someone experienced with dogs who can continue his training. No small children, no cats, and never to be tied up ever again.
