About Sunny
Sunny is a very happy and friendly medium-sized boy. He enjoys being around people, loves giving affection and is always keen for a pat from his humans. \
This happy-go-lucky chap loves the company of other dogs (big and small) and gets on really well with his canine foster brother, a one year old Maltese. They love to go on adventures together and rumbling in the yard. He is very respectful of his foster sister who is an 8 year old cat. She is very comfortable around him and he is very tolerant and friendly towards her.
Sunny also enjoys going for walks and is quickly learning how to walk by your side calmly. He's a very clever boy who now knows how to sit and to come when you call him. He will be a great dog to train, as he is very obedient. He looks to his human companions for love and guidance.
If you live near a big oval or field, he loves to bound and play off-leash and will come when you call him. He's never far from your side.
This bootiful boy has a very low-maintenance coat and has a moderate appetite. He will often swap bowls with his foster brother if they decide that they would prefer each other's bowls of food instead. He is not protective of food and is very easygoing with other dogs near him at meal times.
Sunny is happy to jump in the back seat of the car and be taken to different locations for walks and playtime with his extended foster family. He will sit or lay down quietly.
Sunny truly is a darling boy, and he would make an ideal family dog who is gentle around children, other dogs and cats. He is a beautiful and a happy addition to the family, always showing you affection and loving a big cuddle.
IN FOSTER CARE IN ROZELLE.
MY IDEAL HOME: At Christmas last year, I made a wish: to get out of the pound and find a nice foster home. I love my foster mummy a lot but for New Year's I made another wish: to find my furever home. I hope my wish will come true again! My ideal furever home will be one with lots of love. I'd really like to be part of a family, get belly rubs (I love them!) and maybe even some kids or another doggy to play with. But really, as long as I'm loved I will be happy!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I love going for walks, so I'd prefer to go to a home where I will be walked at least once a day. I'm athletic, so bounding around makes me feel really happy. If someone wanted a jogging or walking partner, I would be their ideal dog!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I love being around kids and my foster mummy says I'm really good with them. I can get a little excited though so foster mum says they should preferably be over the age of 6.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I get along superbly with my foster dog brother, playing nicely and going for walks and sniffing things together.
I am very respectful and placid towards my foster cat sister. She can walk around the house calmly and comfortably, and she was not upset by my arrival at all. She will let me sniff her face and say hello to her, and I back away when she asks me to.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
