About Apollo *On Trial in His New Home*
*APOLLO IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet handsome Apollo with the one white toe! He’s a healthy, happy puppy who was born in mid-October. His mum is a large Terrier cross while his owners assumed the father was a Whippet cross until they saw the puppies – our guess is dad was a passing Staffy cross.
Apollo is a bit of a laidback fella who has a friendly, affectionate nature and is very used to being handled (cuddled!) by adults and young teenage children – we wouldn’t actually recommend him to a home with really young kids until he’s fully trained as those puppy needle-teeth might hurt! Apollo gets along well with his foster carers own dogs, one of which tends to boss him around a bit but he doesn’t mind he just wants to play or hang out. He enjoys his food and also LOVES treats which is helping with his training and he’s learning the basics such as “sit” and “down”. He hasn’t spent any time out and about on a lead as he’s not yet fully immunised so will need some practice with this in his forever home.
One of Apollo’s favourite activities is playtime with his sister and 2 other female SARG puppies he’s in foster care with. Being the only male they do tend to pick on him a bit but this easygoing pup doesn’t mind. They all play for hours, tumbling about the yard and playing tug-o-war with their toys then to cool off they like nothing better than a paddle in their wading pool. Apollo is enjoying an inside / outside life in foster care and is doing really well with his toilet-training. \ At night time he loves cuddles on the couch and he sleeps inside, preferably on one of the humans beds if he can get away with it!

As he’s only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up having lovely manners. Daily walks or runs around the backyard, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Apollo very happy indeed!
Apollo would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time as he’s always had company.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
