Jolie (On Trial with Tilly, 14/2/14)

Oh hey there, I’m Jolie! As you can see I am a pretty cute 11 month old female Staffy x Doberman and have no known medical conditions.

Being a cross between a staffy and a Doberman I have some really great traits, the Doberman part of me is primarily that of a companion dog that is hard wired to protect my family. I am what you could say your personal body guard, I am not concerned with being a property watch dog. The staffy in me gives me a real zest for life, and will love all new experiences.

I am still only a puppy, so I am not out of that puppy stage yet meaning I will jump up on people, and cry during the night, nothing that training can’t fix. I already have some basic obedience training and being part Doberman which are one of the most intelligent dog breeds means I work beautifully in obedience and agility, but respond only to calm training and not physical force. Dobermans requires intelligent handling and are not the pet for everyone

Whilst I like children, the really young ones frighten me, so I would be better in a household with children that are five or over.

I think I would like the company of other dogs as I love to romp around and play all day, as long as I have company. Currently I have not been exposed to cats, birds or rabbits so if you have one of these, supervision would be a must for the first few times.

My current sleeping arrangements are inside which I really like as I do not like being outside away from my family, although during the day I do not mind soaking a few sunrays while laying on my grassy yard. A nice sofa or day bed would be great with a twice daily outing to the park for exercise. I am always ready to go when you are or ready to lay about when you are relaxing.

Other daily activities I would like would be to chase my ball and play fetch or round up the kids and let them chase me around the yard. I am also housetrained so staying inside would not be a problem for me.

Just one more thing i do like to jump so my new home would require high fences.

My foster carer believes that my most endearing thing about me is my gorgeous personality (matches my looks) , my loving nature and kisses that I smother her with as well as the fact that I think I am a lap dog. She thinks I am too big to be a lap dog but I don’t believe her.
