About Dexter (On Trial 1/3/14)
Meet Dexter a beautiful 3 year old Border collie x Kelpie who has recently lost his owner and is still grieving for him.
Dexter would make a perfect companion for a retired couple or stay at home family as he needs to near you and craves your attention. Whilst he loves to be inside and near you he is learning to be outside during the day and is improving with this each and every day.
He has beautiful manners and will sit, lie down, shake, wait and is great on a lead.
Dexter seems to have unlimited energy and would love someone to throw the ball for him all day. He is also getting used to being around other dogs, but he is very anxious and this is why he needs people around him most of the day.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
