About Chester
Don't be fooled by the age given for this little man as Chester is cuteness, personality and quirkiness personified, despite being left at the Pound in the overnight bin ... how scary that must have been for him! Chester was a bit on the skinny side and needed a dental but is now a healthy weight and loving life. The overall demeanour of this sweet boy is quiet, well behaved, undemanding, loyal and loving. He is quite active and absolutely loves his walks (but not marathons!) and can set quite a pace with his little legs. Chester doesn't stop at every blade of grass and is not afraid of the water when at the beach. He certainly still has a spring to his step and is quite a little character that loves to be close and appreciates some 'down time' with you. Chester is not a needy dog but does like to be either by your feet (but not constantly under them) or snuggled up on the lounge with you (when invited) ready for back rubs or tummy scratches. He does have blue in his eyes (which is common for his age) but sees very well and has no problems making his way around, although he would have difficulty with flights of stairs. Chester also loves his toys, pouncing on them and then shaking them furiously. He really enjoys the car and has a big doggy grin when he is taken 'out and about'. Chester's ideal home would be one where his owner is home most of the time and either as a single dog or with another low-key little dog as a companion. He would also need daily walks, no really young children in the home and to be truly included in most of the activities. Chester's coat is soft, silky and low shedding but does need a quick brush a few times a week and a light trim every so often. He is house trained and so would need to have access to the outside at all times. All in all, Chester is a very easy going little fella that is just looking for his forever home.
