Gidget ~ Puppy (On Trial 30/1/14)

INTELLIGENT, LOYAL AND AFFECTIONATE.
Gidget is an easy to care for pup that is about 7 weeks; she will grow to be a medium sized Australian cattle dog mix with a short durable double coat with personality to please.

An ideal home is an involved household that has experience with dogs, where they can incorporate spontaneous training sessions and games in Gidget’s life to keep her mind busy as she loves to play. A couple or family that enjoy socialising, beach trips and involving their pet/s in their lifestyle, as Gidget likes to go where ever you are, she bonds closely.

She won’t be suitable for young children, or very busy lifestyles as she thrives off being with someone so wouldn’t be surprised if she has American Stafford in her as she is so friendly.

Gidget can be described as extremely loyal, she loves to stick close and be around people doesn’t wonder the house just sits at your feet, she settles herself quickly and easily when left alone or outside and sleeps all night in a crate without a peep or soiling her crate so this should be no concern for working families.

She is learning the steps to become a great family member and has started basic training and basic obedience commands; sit, down, roll over, lead training, toilet training, crate training (want to be continued) and has started to visit new environments to be exposed to noises, textures, scents, physical environments, people, children and other animals to create a positive association to which she is responding well too and moving forward.

Gidget’s previous life has left her to defend for herself, so she is great at reading other dogs body language and is quite social and friendly but is quite self-assured in her actions so will benefit from living with another dog to continue her social skills to help teach her. She currently is staying with 4 other working breeds of different ages and her actions reflect the nature and temperament of the dog’s age.

We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
