"Hello potential adopters! Just a few things to help you to get to know me better"

1. I am the full package ... beauty, brains, athletic and extremely active. I say 'live life to the max' so if you want a lap dog to ruminate quietly with then forget about adopting me.

2. I love to run and play and explore and I don't care who I do it with. If no-one is around or can't be persuaded to join in then I will go by myself.

3. I love company. If I do not have at least one other dog to play with when humans are not around you will not be happy with what I amuse myself with. I say everything is up for grabs.

4. If you do have other dogs for me to play with then they need to be prepared to play and run with me a lot. If they do not co-operate then they need to have the temperament to cope with my persuasiveness. I can be very persuasive! I will jump at them, bark at them, pull one of their legs and even their tail in an effort to get them up and running. If this fails, I will bark at them until I can think of something else to do. I cannot tolerate inertia.

5. \ If you don't have other dogs for me to play with me then I must be your constant companion (at a very fast pace).

6. I think that cats are only good for chasing. Many an escape from a backyard have I made when I forget my limitations and concentrate on the chase.

7. I sleep at night but sometimes I have an early afternoon nap.

8. I like the leash free dog park because I can play with lots of other dogs, the ball, sticks and run really fast. I will only go home when I am ready.

9. I am VERY trainable - remember I am smart so you will have to be smarter.

10. I am a house dog and am house trained. I prefer the outdoors but of course sleep inside.

11. I have a beauty secret which you need to know about ... mud baths. If there is water and dirt mixed I will steep and roll myself in it. It stops wrinkles and brings out the white in my coat (but I am very amenable to being rinsed off in the kitchen sink repeatedly if necessary).

12. I have a coat that is fairly low maintenance but will require a regular trim and tidy up.
