About Sam
Sam is a lovely, quite chilled out man for a working breed. He came from the bush but has adapted to being a townie quite well. He doesn't seem to need the high level of exercise most kelpies do, but he does love a big yard and a long daily walk. In his foster home he loves nothing more than relaxing on the resident teenage boy's bed while he (the boy) plays on his computer. He has pretty good manners for a boy who appears to have had no training (which we are working on expanding now). Sam is learning the rules of the house quickly and plays well with some other dogs. He would be best as an only dog or with a female playmate. Sam is afraid of storms and other loud noises. He can jump low fences when frightened if he feels he has no where else to go, but is not an escape artist normally. He travels beautifully in the car too.
