About Casper (On Trial 8/3/14)
Meet Casper; a 7 month old female kelpie cross. She is a gorgeous girl who is looking for a family that will really love her, spoil her and take the time to train her. Casper is hesitant to come when she is called and is still a little nervous of people at first but is improving every day.
She walks off lead every day and loves running through the bushes with her foster brother and sisters. When on lead she walks very well and sits when asked. Being a puppy means everything is exciting and new and she can get distracted by other things around her, but is learning quickly to focus her attention.
Although Casper has had a rough start to her young life she has shown no aggression at all and is great with other dogs. There has been no resource guarding of food; in fact she loves to share her dinner with her foster sister.
Casper was very curious, although a little scared, when she was introduced to other animals such as our pet pigs and she greeted them politely.
For more information or to meet Casper please phone foster carer Mat on 0421669884 or email matnchlo@bigpond.com Casper is in foster care, Cameron Park NSW (west Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Casper's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
