About Sass
Sass - a friendly, affectionate sweetheart. Happy and very healthy.
- Other dogs?
Yes. Sometimes does not take kindly to a dog running up in a rush and wanting play in a bouncy way.
- Cats?
Unsure - I would say no
- Kids?
She is over the chaos of a young family. She is not aggressive but we recommend teenage kids.
- Size?
34 kgs
- Activity level / exercise requirements ?
Moderate. As you can see from the photos she is still able to go for a run with you - not a marathon though. She loves daily walks but will not be naughty if you miss a day or two - as long as you have a play in the back yard.
- Escape artist?
No unless you ignore her for long periods and she might try and find someone else to be friends with
- Does the dog need company during the day? People/other dogs?
She is very people orientated and will miss you if gone for a long time. So we prefer no full time workers. Full time workers will be fine as long as you give her activity and inclusion and perhaps a companion dog.
She is not really interested with another dog for company as a substitute for her human friends. She is good on the leash for walks and a light jog
- Toilet Trained?
Yes and generally very obedient.
- Likes / dislikes ?
Her favourite thing is the company of her family. She does not like storms or fire works and may need soothing. She is not aggressive but will certainly alert you if there is a stranger about and will stop barking on command.
- Ideal home ?
She will make a wonderful companion for someone who is home a lot and/or an addition to a quiet, active person. Sass is very smart and knows if you are sick - comforting you until you feel better.
- GENERALLY
She is not needy but she really needs a home where she is a central focus. She will wait patiently for attention but her heart will break if you ignore her too long.
Sass is a pure bred and comes with her full blood line papers. She has also had a check for hip dysplasia and has paper work to confirm she is fine.
TO MEET
Please submit an EXPRESSION OF INTEREST from www.dogadoption.org.au
Adoption details
We strongly recommend you read the dogs' profile carefully as everything we know about the dog/s is listed.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) http://www.dogadoption.org.au/adoption---expression-of-interest.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner/s. It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog/s.
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we do not usually allow trials.
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
