About Benny
On Hold Pending Adoption 11/12/13: Benny is a gorgeous 5 year old tan and white Border Collie. He is only a small boy weighing around 17kgs and is very very gentle! He is a bit a timid with new people at first but warms up once he gets to know you.
He loves playing with his foster sister and is very dog friendly. Benny is a quiet boy and is very obedient; we hardly know he is there sometimes! He sleeps inside of a night time and loves to play outside during the day but will come inside when he wants to rest.
Benny is toilet trained and has had no accidents inside since we have been fostering him. He is a lovely gentle dog who deserves a lovely gentle family! He can sit on command and is great on a lead. Being an active breed, Benny will need daily exercise; however being 5 years old he enjoys a slower pace most of the time but also likes to have a run around at the park.
We think Benny would be great with children as he is so gentle. He is an extremely good natured boy and would be a great addition to the family!

Benny's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
