About Max
Max is a loving pet and anyone who meets him ends up calling him the Teddy Bear dog and want to take him home. Given half a chance, he will quite happily snuggle up to you on the lounge or on the bed. Max is a house dog that is house trained, loves cuddles and tummy rubs and often falls asleep in your lap snoring in contentment. Max is much loved by his family but is unhappy with the attentions of the toddler in his home and so a home with older children or adults would suit him more. Max has Addison's Disease and arthritis so requires ongoing medication for these conditions and his owner can supply more information on this. Max is reasonably well trained, (sit, stand, walk, drop, stay for short spells, shake hands, high five and high ten), walks quite well on a harness and takes his medication from your hand 99% of the time as if it were a doggy treat. Max has been with his family since he was a puppy but he is not suitable for a home with larger dogs or very young children and needs an experienced and responsible owner who can handle his mild anxiety and some minor behavioural issues. As a Poodle X, Max has a coat that will require regular clipping at least twice a year.
